Bike and Barge : Canal du Midi - France

Sit back and watch the beautiful scenery along the Canal Du Midi, as we serenely drift along. This is a holiday where you can really relax and chill out. From the scenic town of Castelnaudary (near Toulouse), sit back and enjoy the passing scenery, or bike through Roman and medieval towns along the canal route. We will pass through the 7 famous staircase locks of Fonserranes. Visit ancient French villages including Carcassonne and its famous walled town. Taste fabulous Rose and Claret wines at local wineries. A litre of good wine can cost as little as 3 Euros! The trip is one of our all time favourites.
This year the trip will start at the Mediterranean on the 15th September 2012 We cruise at a leisurely pace along the Canal du Midi for 7 days, ending at Castelnaudary (near Toulouse)on 22nd September 2012.

Lesvos: Greece

The birthplace of the poetess Sapho, the beach town of Skala Eressos is a Mecca for International women. It has one of the most beautiful and dramatic beaches in Greece and has a line of cafes and restaurants on the waterfront, overlooking the Aegean. Skala Eressos will be our base for our week of fun and exploration. There is much more to Lesvos than just the beaches. Lesvos is blessed with pine forests, scenic harbors with cafes and inexpensive seafood, archaeological & historic monuments and some of the warmest, friendliest people in Greece. Lesvos is a favorite location for artists, writers and romantics. You will have plenty of time for relaxing on the beach, but, you will also have a chance to see some of the fascinating landscape and history that Lesvos has to offer. Whether it's a one-time visit that you will never forget or a visit that will begin a relationship that will last a lifetime, Lesvos is one of the best destinations in Greece. The trip cost includes a trip to the hot springs, visit to the petrified forest and a guided local walk.
We can arrange for shared transport from Mytilini airport on Saturday 29th Sept. Trip finishes at Skala Erresos on the morning of 6th October 2010.

Sea Kayak Bay of Islands. New Zealand.
Monday 04 February 2013 to Friday 08 February 2013 (Northland)
Learn the art of sea kayaking while absorbing the breathtaking beauty the Bay of Islands offers. Tranquil and isolated beaches, superb coastal scenery and fascinating Maori archaeology await you. This is the cradle of European settlement in New Zealand and a focal point for Maori as it was here that the Treaty of Waitangi was signed. What sets it apart also is the ease with which you can get out among the islands. You will stay on Urupukapuka Island and explore Motuarohia, Motukiekie, Okahu, Waewaetorea and Moturua. The latter offers a network of walks through bush alive with spotted kiwi, saddlebacks and North Island robins. All islands have protected beaches on one side and dramatic rock formation with sea caves, arches and narrow passageways on the ocean side. Paddling times between islands range from 15 to 45 minutes. We have an experienced local woman guide leading this trip.

Bald Rock National Park & Byron Bay

Beautiful Byron Bay is Australias most easterly point and its scenic hinterland has some of the highest biodiversity of flora & fauna in Australia. We have time for relaxing on the excellent beaches & kayaking around the Cape, but we will also venture inland, to Bald Rock National Park. Bald Rock is the biggest granite monolith in Australia. The Park has impressive canyons & stone arches and a fascinating Aboriginal history.
Meet at Byron rail station at 9am on Friday 8th March 2013. Trip ends late afternoon Monday 11th March 2013.

Wonderful Wales: U.K
Thursday 18 April 2013 to Monday 22 April 2013 (International)
We spend 5 days exploring areas of outstanding beauty in South and West Wales. We will walk part of Offa's Dyke (constructed in 785AD) and visit the romantic ruins of Tintern Abbey. The countryside around The Wye Valley is much loved for its sheltered lanes and woodland walks that open into wonderful views of the River Wye. Then we head West to Pembrokeshire, where we will be based in Goodwick. We will walk part of the Pembrokeshire coastal path,visiting St Davids cathederal and Strumble Head.Then, venture up into the wild and mysterious Preseli hills to get a glimpse of pre history, with its standing stones,neolithic burial chambers and celtic crosses.
Pick up at Cardiff train/bus station or accommodation on Thursday 18th April 9th 9am. Return Cardiff late afternoon Monday April 22nd.
