We spend 6 days exploring areas of outstanding beauty in South and West Wales. We will walk part of Offa's Dyke (constructed in 785AD) and visit the romantic ruins of Tintern Abbey. The countryside around The Wye Valley is much loved for its sheltered lanes and woodland walks that open into wonderful views of the River Wye. Then we head West to Pembrokeshire, where we will be based in Goodwick. We will walk part of the Pembrokeshire coastal path,visiting St Davids cathederal and Strumble Head.Then, venture up into the wild and mysterious Preseli hills to get a glimpse of pre history, with its standing stones,Neolithic burial chambers and celtic crosses. |
