Before its busy summer season, experience glorious Vancouver Island�s Pacific Rim with a small group of feisty co-adventurers. Marvel at the wonders of a lush ancient rain forest and rugged coastline where eagle and gray whale sightings are common!
We start the adventure in charming Ucluelet, staying at cottages equipped with hot tubs, a stone�s throw from the Wild Pacific Trail. Our first full day, we shall explore the inter-tidal zone of famed Long Beach, and hike through ancient rainforest to open coastline. This year�s adventure features a multi-day kayak adventure into the Broken Group Islands of Barkley Sound. The Broken Group is known Internationally for awesome kayaking and wilderness camping among the archipelago of over 100 unique islands and islets in Barkley Sound. Paddling in this area is incredible- open coast, protected passages, warm lagoons, and narrow channels all teeming with seals, sea lions, porpoises, and whales. After 3 days of unbelievable paddling, top off your adventure with a surfing lesson, a laid back recoup time in Tofino with comfy seaside lodgings, eating fresh seafood, exploring the work of local artists, or maybe just being a beach bum! Participants should be in reasonable physical shape.Prior kayaking experience not required. Join us for fun and fabulous experiences in this beautiful part of Canada.
