Small Groups - Day and Multi-Day Trips
Groups are small. They bond around a shared activity that is the means of exploring an area that has special scenic qualities or environmental significance. It may be tramping, hiking, kayaking, sailing, camping, cycling or barging on canals.

The names behind the name

We are Yvonne Jenkins and Simone Dixon - the owners of Bushwise Women Ltd.

We have taken over the everyday running of Bushwise Women fron Lyn Jowett and intend to maintain the high quality adventures for women, that have been the hallmark of Bushwise Women, for over 13 years.

Lyn will be taking on a more developmental role with The Women’s Accomodation Network.

We share years of experience in a wide variety of outdoor pursuits, in Australia, Europe and The Middle East.

Our aim is to continue to empower women.

We promote excellence in risk management, bushcraft, mountain safety, outdoor first aid and group work.

We support the work of the Department of Conservation, in caring for our wilderness and a percentage of your trip cost goes towards DOC as a concession payment.

Our concession license number is WC/097/GU1.

Bushwise Women guides have a passion for the outdoors.

They are experienced women, with local knowledge and expertise in their activity.

Our 9 women guides are based in New Zealand, Australia and Europe.

Where we do not have one of our guides insitu, we are able to use our contacts locally to provide our clients with top class guides.

You can rest assured that in non-English speaking countries, one of your guides will speak the language fluently, and will be familiar with all the local customs and protocol.

Am I fit enough to keep up with the group?

Check the trip description. It may not require any strenuous activity. You will enjoy active trips far more if you prepare for the trip by regular walking and stretching or going to the gym in the weeks leading up to the trip.
